CONTEST WINNER
SINCE I HAD AN OVER WHELMING NUMBER OF ENTRIES I DEBATED USING A NUMBER GENERATOR OR JUST WRITING THE NAMES DOWN AND HAVING HUBBY PULL ONE.
I opted for hubby to pull one...rofl!!!
Here is a picture of the winner:Michele you got one week to contact me or I get to keep the 10 fat quarters. {snicker!}Now up date on my grand ma. She is still in ICU and has become REALLY confused. My mother went to the hospital today and she walked in the room and my grandmother had her IV tubing in her mouth, she had pulled it out and chewed the puppy in half! I really had to laugh. If I had a penny for every time one of MY patients did that, I would be rich! And here my own grand ma did it! She then told my mom that the doctor came in but he had to hurry back to the circus. She must really be having a good time! Bless her heart! My father in law is slowing declining according to the hospice RN. Please remember him in prayer. My sister in law is up from West Virginia to help out. I think I am going to clean my quilt room tonight. I lost my bunnyhill BOM. I had to embroider it still. The new one comes out next week! I am falling behind on my LQS BOM. I have 3 blocks to make by the 15th. Foolish goose tracks has flown south for the time being. Red delicious got a worm and I can't even see my quilting frame, it has become a glorified coat rack, except it has quilting stuff all over it. ROFL!~! Mybe I should just forget everything and go shopping???

If you read my post please pray for our family. The hospital called and they asked my mother if she wanted my grandmother to be a DNR. I wish I could go but we have a cruddy car and I don't think it would make it. THANKS!

Animals
I love animals. We have so many different kinds. Here are 2 different types of squirrels. We also have the grey ones and the tiny little red ones. They are only 5 inches long. They are very hard to get a photo of.
I got an UFO done. I had the sashings & backings cut out for a very long time. I used stuffing that I got at a yard sale. The pillow ended up bigger than what I thought it was going to but O well!Tomorrow I plan to post and start another give away. I will also post about my father in law (who came home on hospice) and my grandmother who is in the ICU at a hospital in tim buck two. I hate not being close, but I did call her yesterday out of the blue. That in itself was unusal and I got to talk with her for quite awhile. Last night she became ill and my mother took her in.

While Joe was gone
While Joe was gone, I got a lot of sewing done. I didn't have my camera, he took it at the last moment. So now that it is safe & sound back in my posession I will post some things got done.
This is March's block from bunny hill. The basket looks crooked but it isn't. I haven't squared the block yet.
I am up to date on my "Red delicious BOM" over at http://estheraliu.blogspot.com/
Then peeking out in the back ground is my "foolish goose tracks from:http://burningthemidnightoilquilts.com/block-of-the-month-quilt/
Which I am about to rename it "Goose Poop" because I accidently sewn all 12 surounding blocks on UPSIDE DOWN!
Just need to add the sashing around my Double polka dotted delight from www.quiltville.com. I am going to do the brown with white polka dots.
I am also designing my own folk Art quilt. This is our light post by the side entry. There is always cute little brown birds all over. The black birds are every where!
OK enough show & tell.
Later today I will pick a name for this weeks give away. I am off to finish the table runner now!

week 2 GIVE AWAY
The photo is week ONE contest gift. It is a scrappy apron, stationary and a matching soap. (sitting on the shelf) Quiltmom #10 on the comments from week 1 contact me. You have one week.
This week for girl friend time we will chat about PEACE.
Wikipedia's definition is:
Peace is a term that most commonly refers to an absence of aggression, violence or hostility, but which also represents a larger concept wherein there are healthy or newly-healed interpersonal or international relationships, safety in matters of social or economic welfare, the acknowledgment of equality and fairness in political relationships and, in world matters, peacetime; a state of being absent any war or conflict. Reflection on the nature of peace is also bound up with considerations of the causes for its absence or loss. Among these potential causes are: insecurity, social injustice, economic inequality, political and religious radicalism, and acute nationalism.
from the Anglo-Norman pas , and meaning "freedom from civil disorder", the English word came into use in various personal greetings from c.1300 as a translation of the biblical terms pax (from the Vulgate) and Greek eirene, which in turn were renderings of the Hebrew shalom. Shalom, cognate with the Arabic "salaam", has multiple meanings: safety, welfare, prosperity, security, fortune, friendliness. The personalised meaning is reflected in a nonviolent lifestyle, which also describes a relationship between any people characterized by respect, justice and goodwill. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individuals sense of himself or herself, as to be "at peace" with one's own mind attested in Europe from c.1200. The early English term is also used in the sense of "quiet", reflecting a calm, serene, and meditative approach to the family or group relationships that avoids quarreling and seeks tranquility — an absence of disturbance or agitation.
Philippians 4:4-7 (New King James Version)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I Just LOVE this scripture! It gives me peace to know that The Lord has everything in control IF we only trust in him and we should NOT be anxious and have peace about situations!
This week I would like know if this verse helps you. Just leave a comment. Once you leave a comment you are entered in this weeks contest. Here is what you will get: an "itty bitty bunny pincushion" (pattern from bunny hill courtesy of my friend swooze on quiltchat.com) AND a matching Easter table runner.
